This beautiful small town is actually 4 villages (our accommodation is in the main village of St Gervais) and each has a slightly different 'flavour', but all enjoy absolutely stunning views of the surrounding forests and mountains, most notably, Mont Blanc. There is even a layby on the motorway between Geneva and St Gervais, which specifically offers a view of Mont Blanc - it's always busy! The summer climate is beautifully warm with fresh mountain air. There are many little cafes and bars, shops and restaurants. As well as several small supermarkets and boulangeries, just a few minutes drive down the hill takes you to a huge hypermarket which sells everything you may need, and quite a lot you will never have any use for! Activities on offer include the Mont Blanc tramway - not to be missed! - which goes to the foot of the Glacier at 2372m, cycling, mountain-biking, walking, climbing, hot-Air Ballooning, canyoning, horseriding, paragliding, swimming, spa facilities, children's playgrounds and activity centre and even art classes.

Le Fayet is the entrance to the resort and hosts the Spa, which has benefitted from Mont-Blanc waters since 1806. Saint Gervais is one of few resorts in the French Alps, to offer a successful combination of winter, summer and spa activities. Saint-Gervais - 850 m - Saint-Gervais offers all the beauty of a small Savoyard market town, its traditional buildings, with many examples of Belle Epoque architecture, its rich heritage, its baroque church and pedestrian areas. There are regular markets selling fruit and vegetables as well as local specialities and crafts. Our accommodation is here. Saint-Nicolas de Véroce - 1150 m - St Nicolas de Véroce, a village that locals have built around their church, a jewel of baroque art. Here you can enjoy fantastic views of the Mont Blanc mountain range. Access to the slopes by chair lift from the village centre. Le Bettex - 1400 m Opposite the exceptional panorama of the Mont Blanc range, offering more stunning viewss.

All of this is less than an hour from Geneva. Other nearby places of interest are Chamonix Mont Blanc, Annecy, Thonon, Megeve etc - all within an hour or less of St Gervaiss.

Linen is included in the price of the rental. If you require a change of linen during your stay, this can be arranged for a small extra charge - see prices below.

COMMENTS FROM PREVIOUS GUESTS...

'We had a great time. The apartments were great. We would definitely recommend them. They were modern and well kitted out with plenty of room, much nicer than many we have stayed in. The lady on reception was friendly and helpful too - didn't make us feel like idiots with our pidgin French! Our three apartments were right next to each other which was perfect - in effect we were together, but with some privacy when we wanted it. Lovely bakery about 200m away too - French bread is great! I'm sure we'll be in touch again - we plan to go again next year. Well - thanks again for your help! It wouldn't surprise me if our friends ask for your help next time too!'

'Thank you also for organising our accommodation in St Gervais. It proved to be excellent for us as a group in every regard. It was particularly helpful that we were all on one floor, which was also probably good for our neighbours too! St Gervais lived up to my memory of it as being suitable as a family resort for a group with a number of first-timers. Everyone enjoyed the week and we now have a group of future skiers in our family, which is excellent. Again, thank you for your prompt, friendly and efficient service - very much appreciated.'

'The apartment was excellent value for money - modern, spacious and well equipped with wonderful views across the mountains and valley. Great shower with never-ending hot water and use of the sauna and hot tub were very welcome at the end of the day. It's only a 2 minute drive to the cable car (some people, fitter than us, walk it) and a very pleasant ten minute stroll into the village. St Gervais village is incredibly charming and unspoilt by tourism and, we can't wait to go back!'
